Pastor Dan & Charlene Cramer Born and raised for the most part in Pittsburgh. I gave my life to Jesus when I was around 16. After graduating from Sewickley Academy, I attended Elim Bible Institute. I graduated from Elim in 1976 and headed straight to the Mission field in Scotland, where I met my wife, Charlene. Charlene was also in Scotland for a summer of Missionary work, traveling there from her home church in Eugene, Oregon. Even though we spent most of the next year an ocean and two countries apart, we knew God had brought us together, and we eventually were married on April 8, 1978.

Pastor Dan is a man who truly has a pastor's heart and a heart for God.  People are attracted to Zion Christian Church because they feel the quiet magnetism of Pastor Dan's personality and appreciate the wisdom and sincerity of the way that he presents the Word of God and motivates Christians to draw closer to God.  Pastor Dan creates an environment at Zion Christian Church where people naturally want to care for one another and soon we feel like family.

Charlene is a gifted teacher, song writer, poet, and a tremendous intercessor who really knows how to hear from God. She also leads the Women's ministry here at Zion Christian Church.

From there we returned to Europe, where we spent the next eight years in ministry. God blessed us with two daughters during those years, Stephanie was born in Scotland, and Jennifer was born in England.

During those eight years, among other things we pioneered two churches. The first was in Hawick, Scotland, a sleepy town nestled in the Borders Region near England. The second church was in Sheffield, England; England's steel capitol.

We returned to the United States in 1986, where I joined the Pastoral Staff of Faith Community, a large and fine ministry that was located in Bethel Park, PA. I left Faith Community in 1991, and Zion Christian Church began on Christmas Eve of that year.

It was an amazing time. There were amazing prophetic words given about the planting of a new Church by people who never met us. God also came to Charlene and myself in visions and dreams about the new church. There was even an angelic visitation that occurred at that time.

Zion began services at Howard Johnson's Hotel on Christmas Eve of 1991. Our slogan was "There is Room for Jesus in the Inn". Some seven years later, we were given the beautiful Worship Center and Parsonage we now utilize free of charge. It was a great miracle, and we praise God. The deeds were transferred to Zion on July 3, 1998.
